Effects of Salary Increments on Salaries in Foreign
Currencies

By Nabil Manuel Younes
                       Attorney-at-Law

apply to those quoted in foreign currencies.

The collapse of the parity of the Lebanese Pound triggered the
dollarisation of a major part of the Lebanese economy.

Lebanese Pound, namely, the loss of the purchase power of the
salaries and the instability, which resulted from the accelerated
fluctuations of the forex rate of the national currency, the
dollarisation was applied to a major part of the salaries in the
private sector.
